Prince of Persia, why is this board so quiet? | Forums

Considering this is a ubisoft board and Prince of Persia looks to be UBI's flagship game to lead the masses into a watercolored psychadelic video game. Kind of like ICO on acid.

I was very not excited about this game but after I watched the trailer on xbox marketplace I penciled in Prince of Persia as a christmas gift.

The pure magnificignentness(is that a word) of the visual presentation look absolutely amazing. I've never seen anything like this.

WTF is that? I don't even like Prince of Persia. So for me to say that this game looks OMG &)&)&()&)(&^()^((). Is pretty amazing.

Reminds me of Duke Nukem 3D except with swords. Ubi is exceptionally slow with pregame hype. They will hype the game the most the month prior to release and become quiet about said game after release. That and more gamers are becoming leary about buying Ubi games due to the problems encountered during play and slow or lack of support after release.

There's very little hype for this game even though the reviews are good. But why waste marketing money on something original when you have the latest Tom Clancy's Raving EndWarzzz to sell. I could probably wait a couple weeks and get it for like $25, but I want the collector's edition.

Ubisoft is sending me a free copy of this game.
Once it arrives I will give my thoughts.
It does look really nice though.

It's not a bad game...it's there there are a crap ton of other games out right now. I played the first area on Monday...then put it down.

Meh. I wasn't a huge fan of the series before. I'm sure the fans will enjoy it.

Sly Cooper is another cool one. It's old now. You probably could find it really cheap on ebay or at a gamestore.

Believe it or not games with a distinct art style have been quietly sold for many years. These games are really treasures. Especially when looking at them over a time. They really hold up well. I'm sure the new Prince of Persia will end up like some of these games. 'true' classics

I think it looks stupid and the story sounds a lot like LoZ: Twilight Princess.

I will likely not be buying.
