Thread: Multitouch Support not Enabled | Forums

  1. #1
I have RUSE installed on a Microsoft Surface running Windows 7. All native Windows 7 touch gestures are supported and working correctly. However, I cannot enable multitouch controls in RUSE. Any help would be appreciated.

When RUSE installed, I noticed it installed files related to TouchSmart. Will the multitouch controls only work on a HP TouchSmart monitor?

OR is this an example of simple bait-and-switch tactics by Ubisoft? Make everyone think through marketing that Windows 7 Multitouch will be supported, and then sign an exclusive deal with HP to allow it only on their hardware and not disclosing this deal?

""As a strategy game relying on a clean and intuitive interface built around the zoom, R.U.S.E. was the perfect candidate for Ubisoft to demonstrate how multitouch improves and streamlines the way games are played," says marketing man, John Parkes."

"Ubisoft says it's collaborating closely with Microsoft to deliver "immersive and new experiences" on Windows 7."

If the truth is only HP TouchSmarts are supported, then Ubisoft, I am disappoint.

i have used the multi-touch feature in the demo with an unsupported monitor and it worked perfectly for the most part. not impressed that it does not work in the actual game, i call false advertising, and will continue to do say until it is fixed. I doubt it will hold up in court due to loopholes, and no doubt doubt apre-thought out strategy by highly paid lawyers; however by the common law standards this is outrageous and will spread bad word of mouth advertising as a counter and remind people to NEVER buy this game. You already stole my money with your non legally binding false advertising i would not have it affect other people if i can help. so anyone looking at this that is considering buying the game, DONT! you will only be disappointed
