Hi Folks,
First time posting here so let me introduce myself somewhat. After being advised this was the best combat flight sim around and the tempting price of a fiver I recently took the plunge with this game.
I bought it online but had seen a copy in a highstreet retailers but was put off purchasing by the fact that it didn't say it was vista compatible. I was stubborn though and researched using trusty old google and this is how I found this place. Your various posts have been a lifesaver in setting up the game.
Anyway I got into the game and after fiddling around with the graphics settings a bit I got to a happy compromise.
I held back ordering a joystick until I knew the game worked to a bareable level to which, to an extent, it has. The only major problem I seem to be having is the error as mentioned in the title of this post.
I'll be flying around, everything running smoothly, then the screen will go black for a second then the title screen shows up for about 5-10 seconds then the game resumes where I left off. That wouldn't riun the game for me but it always happens the second time in one flight, except this time the screen goes black, flashes white then i'm back to the desktop, the games closed and the error message pops up.
The full message reads "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered. Display driver igfx stopped responding and has sucessfully recovered".
Is there any help or better still a full solution to this problem as it means some missions are impossible to complete as it closes the game even before i've flew to my target. Any help/advice would be much appreciated. Please bear in mind I'm a not brilliant with computers so apologies if any of it goes over my head.
