The news just came down the wire from an Amsterdam press conference, folks! Also according to 1up, Bungie.net should have more info later in the day. Stay tuned!

Add another exclamation point to the thread title, Ed, and let's celebrate.
September 25th: vacation day.
i thought they said last week that they were sticking to offline co-op.
WTF I'M CONFUSED.
I had read the same bad news, War. That's why I'm hoping what Ed has posted is true. Just imagine the fun/hijinx we could have.

My purchase of this game hinges on the availability of this feature. I like co-op play. I've not played any other Halo titles (other than the Halo 3 Beta). This would turn it from a "maybe at some point" to a "GET RIGHT AWAY!!!!"
"!!!!!!"
Maybe a few more for good measure.

=)
Kickin' it Old Skool whenever I can.
Bungie.net still hasn't confirmed officially, but as 1up stated in their short blurb, Bungie staffer Luke Smith did confirm the announcement.
I too am keeping my fingers crossed, but as I've discussed with others in the past: cooperative play had better be part of Halo 3. Other games have proved the feasibility of online coop, so it just makes sense that Xbox's star franchise has to include it...
That's super awesome! That gives me another good reason to get this game.
F*** yeah! At least something good has happened on this awful day.
With Love,
