You need to do at least two things...get some more memory for your computer; 512Mb makes a big difference in this game. I got a Radeon 9600 card with 128MB graphics memory; not the cheapest but not the dearest. It runs Uru with all graphics settings at maximum. The one I got was made by Gigabyte, came with 3 free full games and Power DVD and so was very good value. Warning: check out the specification and type of AGP slot (max speed 2X or 4X or 8X) in your computer before buying the card as different AGP speed cards have different keys (cut-outs) in the slot so they don't all fit.

Hehe, well best has a lot to do with how much you want to spend.... currently, I think the ATI Radeon 9800 XT is the fastest... but also one of the most expensive.

I play Uru on two different machines... my Sony laptop which has a Radeon 9000 in it, and my desktop which had a Radeon 7500 "all-in-wonder". I recently upgraded to a Radeon 9600 XT. Uru worked on all of these with no problems whatsoever graphically. I originally bought an nVidia gForce 4 for my desktop, but could not get it to work in my gaming pc... so I stuck it into one of my other machines. I have not tried Uru on it, but I have no doubt it will work also.

Good places to check for info are www.tomshardware.com, www.techtv.com, and www.anandtech.com....
    Good luck!

You really do need a "name brand" video card, that is, one with either a ATI Radeon or NVidia GeForce chipset. Each chipset offers specific features, and game programmers program around the features on the biggest selling brands, which would be these two.

This is specified on the box. Always take a close look at the system specs with a new game.
