Thread: Why is Far Cry 2 on Steam only for the US? | Forums

    Why Ubisoft?
Didn't you recently say that Europe is more important?

Im still gonna buy the game no matter what but this just seems stupid. Gamers all round the world want yours and other publishers games via digital distrubution. Its alot easier, more enviromentaly friendly and who likes having yet another game case?

Oh well. If Valve had it their way you'd be able to get it.
I use Steam only when I have to.

I was hoping too that I could use steam to buy far cry 2. I don't even have a Dvd-drive on my pc at the moment.

After think more about it...it does appear that Ubi is selectively dealing out who/where gets what not only Steam distr. but who get what preorder stuff. Huh...go figure.

i dont care so much about steam as i prefer to have the cd in hand, but i see how its a vital game resource for those outside the us. This isnt racism, selective marketing but not racism.

Racism? Are you kidding me? Why is this word passed around like candy now a days. I don't know the reasoning behind anything these corporate people do but most of the time it is for good reason, not because they just don't like a certain group of people. I wish people would lay off that word until it's actually necessary.
