Limited Edition Available for the Mac In UK? | Forums

Does anyone know if the Limited Edition/collectors Edition version of Myst End Of Ages will be available to buy in the uk for the mac.

I have been looking on the net for weeks now, and as far as I can tell, we are a bit behind here on information. The uk ubi site is only showing the standard game. I have found a few sites that are showing the limited edition/collectors edition, but it only says it is for the pc.

I have tried to pre-order through the us ubi site and I have had no luck, as they only ship to canada and america.

If anyone knows something that I dont, then I would love to know!!!

yes uk will have the collectors edition, though they are already out of stock (or at least the stock they were planning to have)
if you want to preorder the collectors edition youll have to go to amazon.co.uk or any other similar site, or get it from france.
(ubisoft told me they will have there the collectors edition completely in english)


also i read that the standard edition is on dvd in europe, which means itll work on mac.

I have looked at amazon and it says that the collectors edition is for pc (windows xp). But it also states that it is on DVD rom. Does this mean that it will work on the mac?

I also tried to pre-order it from a link on this forum, which took me to a french website, but I dont speak french, so I couldnt understand what I was doing.

The trick with this link is to click on the UK flag that appears on the lefthand side (it's quite small), then use the Back arrow on your browser to go back to the info on the CE and it will now be in English - then you can order. That's how I did it.

dvd rom version is the pc/mac hybrid

the cd-rom version was supposed to be compatible with mac too, but there was some problem with installshield, so now only the dvd version works.

edit: maybe they put it under pc-games becuase there is no mac section

shieeet... 30 pounds????? just get that one! collectors edition is 35 pounds on uk ubisoft site (with free shipping)

to understand the french site, just use babelfish.altavista.com (with all the flaws everyone knows and loves)
