I just finished a match at ft. Campbell, I had riflemen guardign a few key uplinks, they were all legendary, with 10% damage boost.

Now how is it at all possible that the other guy can deepstrike one of these uplinks, move into it, compeltly secure it and damage my riflemen before thye go down..? This happened multiple times...

That is just ridiculous...my unit was legendary, and started in cover...but the hostiel riflemen can take down my rifles shields, and ****ing secure the uplink...

What the hell? This wouldn't be to big ofd a deal but this guy kept stalling by deepstriking...I'm not usre where the **** he got the CP but he would keep deepstriking uplinks until my rifle guarding it were dead...

LEGENDARY riflemen in cover versus any rank riflemen outside of cover...should;t even be a contest should it?
Broke my signature and reset my ignore list, well done Ubisoft...

Well it depends on which faction you were up against.

I can tell you that my Russian 1 star rifleman have beat 3 star JSF rifleman (that were already in the uplink), I was in red heath after the ordeal but never the less I survived. The many Russian attack upgrades gives Russian rifle a slighter advantage.

If you were to tell me that these were EFEC rifleman you faced, then I couldn't give you a relative explanation for that. EFEC have the weakest rifleman even though they should be superior in close combat urban environments.

It was against russians...but there were legendary...with damage bonus...no way in hell they shouldn't cut them up before they got the uplink half desecured...

It's actually plus like 20% for the battalion and the rank, but it is BS when they just come in take your squad down and take the uplink, and whole time they're just playing cat and mouse around the uplink giving them an extra chance to get it

I have yet only once witnessed infantry combat at an uplink but noticed two things:

    1. The attacking unit can secure the uplink and fight at the same time.
    2. The uplink itself acts as a cover for both sides. And if the defending unit is sitting at the wrong corner of the uplink they deal less to none damage to any unit approaching the uplink. Once the attacking unit has reached the uplink it is in cover.
    3. I think you cannot take a unit completely down as long as it is securing the uplink as one squad is inside the building, not taking damage at all. I never managed to stop the enemy seizing an uplink by attacking the seizing unit regardless of the unit I choosed to attack.

I agree with Tallinn. Point number 2 specifically. If he drops behind you at the uplink or even to the left or right (so long as its not directly in front of you) then he definitely has a chance at capturing the uplink. Not surviving the ordeal apparently but at least getting cp.

Okey I will tell you guys the best tactic for defending an uplink. Hid rifle men on the back side of it. Enemy vehicles can't see you, enemy engineers that enter the uplink will be slaughtered. If he deepstrikes you just manuver your rifle men to what ever side the helicopter is landing and wait. And if he sends riflemen at you just snipe them out of cover, hit them with vehicles, artillary, air strikes......
    Has never failed me

but jsut rember russians are slow and very strong jsf are weaker cus they are faster and if he deep striked and went stright into cover he could of done it if his rifle men were high ranked or with the % 10 dmg

That sucks dude. Especially since right when they deepstrike, th eenemy should be out of cover, and no matter how good those other riflemen were, you should have slaughtered them

Also, I noticed when enemy riflemen charge an uplink, your riflemen's first instinct is to run away OUT OF COVER to engage the enemy for some reason. I don't know why this happens, but when it does, I just tell my riflemen to start upgrading and they should be fine

What happened to you sucks though, I don't know how that could've happened
