We had a nasty snowstorm back around Christmas, but it was not publicized outside of the state. Probably because national outlets do not even know that New Mexico is a state :P

But I cant remember the last time NY saw snow literally every single week throughout the month of January. I remember saying out loud during the 3rd week of snow when I was digging out the car, "SCREW THIS!! I'M TAKIN THE TRAIN!!"

Now I dont really choose to think of Valentine's day as a "Oooo-ahhhhh-Wow-Big-deal" holiday, but I have to keep up to date with one my new year's resolutions this time: remember valentine's Day this year. Last year a pizza delivery guy from Papa John's rang my doorbell and handed me a pepperoni pizza in the shape of a heart.
After I finished eating through half of it, I remember looking straight ahead and saying, "OH CR4P." Luckily she wasnt angry w/ me. Just to make sure, I bought her Hello kitty bears and stuff.

And for once, the weather in NY today is pretty decent.

Coast clear. Operation: "Valentine" was a success.

And MARVEL vs CAPCOM 3 BABY!

And finally they did A***a and his offense a little bit more justice. His defense is still the worst, I guess that's bc he has to be balanced as a character (a lot of power = decreased defense in MvsC series).

Still can't wait to check out B:Arkham City.

This has been a week of suck. and I am finally glad it is Friday.

A former student who was a well known in the community, died unexpectedly on Wednesday morning. He had just turned 21 last week or so. He had a hard life. But in spite of that, he rose above the challenges. It is amazing to see how many people knew him. News of his death at my work, hit a few of us hard. Because of our job, we see kids grow up. We are with them five days a week. They become "our kids" in a small way. We watched him grow up and people looked out for him. Made sure that he had things he needed, but never gave him a hand out. He was a diligent and hard worker. He was a genuine person. He was nice. Even if he just met you, he felt like he had been your friend forever.

And now he is gone.

The funeral was nice. It was standing room only in the little church. There were even people standing outside.


other thing: The local police department has come under fire for some officers personal facebook pages. So now a friend has set his page to super duper private, before I had a chance to let him know of the funeral.
