Thread: [Feedback] Xbox 360 Multiplayer Demo | Forums

I have never been a fan of racing games, but this demo is fun, given there isn't really any racing involved in this demo, so this could be potentially biased.

The game itself is fun and the multiplayer aspect is really fun. I enjoy competing with people to take the Tag or to eat the stream of goodness coming out of the blazing car.

The qualifiers seem to be just fun little mini-games to be in-between matches so that it doesn't seem like it is repetitive which is good, but it really doesn't serve any other purpose (That is fine!).

    Trailblazer: One word. Awesome.
I enjoy knocking people out of the way with the tanker and the ramp truck and it is just a really fun game mode.

Tag: The best game mode of the demo. Tag has a real feel of competition and you have to always keep a watch out of cars around you as they can be taken over at anytime and suddenly screw you over, but that is the best part!

Issues: I only have one major issue with the multiplayer that I have seen.

    1. Tag. The best game mode by far and there is one flaw to it.

If a person drives into an alley or some other place where there are not cars, then they can just sit there and not really do much until a car comes behind them and take off.

My suggestion is to either put cars in the alley with no one in them, or block them off completely.

What fun is it if you just take the car in-between buildings and sit there while you wait for someone that is shifting cars to pick one and catch up to you in the alley just for you to take off?

Thats the whole idea of tag,

Use the alleyways to your advantage, you can get some breathing space before you reach the other end.

I'm always zig-zagging my route, I never go in a straight line for too long like most players, I mix it up so the others have a hard time keeping up.

Granted I won't sit in a alleyway but to be fair I wouldn't have the chance, I've always got cars just a few feet behind me when I'm rushing down the alleyways.

It isn't so much the fact there are alleyways, but people do sit there. To be honest I have done it and I got about 20 points just sitting there and I won't do it again because there isn't any challenge in it.

No matter what game you play, there will be people that will attempt to take the fun out of it just to win.

Theres no point doing that in the demo, you get nothing for winning.. granted it awards you XP throughout but you don't unlock anything or rank up

A lot of times I'm way ahead of the people when I have the tag and I could easily win if I keep going straight. So instead, I usually turn around and start headin straight for them to make it funner. I can easily win but where's the fun in just running, I'd rather try avoding them.

I think adding a few cars in the alleyways would go a long way. It's that Lombard Street that really kills it.. cause it's so long that if you are good enough to go down it then stop and come back up dodging the one or two smart enough players to give chase.. you pretty much got the game right there.

I'm honestly surprised more people aren't irritated by the lack of real reflections in the mirrors in first person view. I love driving in first person view in racers as it makes the graphics feel surreal and watching the chaos unfold is great! But I can't play it without any realistic mirror reflections, annoying!!!

im with you terror on the rear view mirror deal, i think its crucial when using in car view because the game is so fast paced and with all that traffic the need to press a button for rear view can will get you into an accident

Yeah, rearview mirror definitely needs to be patched. From playing the new demo, which is apparently at 30fps and is fast and smooth, it made me realize that 60fps aint all it's cracked up to be and if it comes at the expense of important features like a working mirror, then it's just not worth it.

I love driving in the cockpit view, but the lack of rearview and the lack of peripheral vision means I prefer the outside full car view for multiplayer.
