I've been reading several threads where people with different joysticks are having problems. My Logitech Strike Force 3D seems to work just fine taking off, dispatching targets and such but when I get back to the airport for landing, God help you if you can keep your A-10 going in a straight line!! This seems to happen almost all the time. I'm even in the easy mode...played with the trim controls until I'm blue in the face but it doesn't seem to matter what I do. (I've even played with the trim on the ground just to watch the control surfaces move so I know how and how much they move) You'd think it would be easy as pie in Easy mode!? I know a few people say you have to adjust your trim and re-ajust it to fly straight but I'm thinking something is going wrong here! It starts acting up before I even use flaps or let my landing gear down. Kinda sad...you have a nice mission and you can't land the aircraft at the end!? I even have all the latest drivers for my joystick. Woe is me!

I give up! Think I'll put lomac on the shelf and check back time to time to see if anything has changed! I've been trying for 3 days days now to fly some missions and get back to the base for landing but it just ain't gonna happen! Seems like whenever you use the accelerated time and then get out of it, you can't control your plane anymore no matter how you play with the trim controls!! Dang thing just loves to porpoise! Just too frustrating right now! Heck, finally got the frame rates acceptable, just can't control the aircraft! Guess I'll go back to IL2...later guys!

Ok, perhaps I was too hasty!? I shut down my computer and came back to it later in the evening and tried Lomac again. I was able to fly the mission I made and land more than twice! I think something was really going wrong with my computer...perhaps with it's memory. I should know better too that doing a cold reboot sometimes will cure numerous problems! So, I am back in the saddle...I mean Cockpit again. Sorry for any negative feelings I brought forth!! Shame on me!
Also, I wrote a note to tech support at Ubi.com and had an answer within 8 hours. That's service as far as I'm concerned!

So did they tell you how to get more control with the joystick? I bob around alot too, but I practice landing like crazy in a flight sim. I set the difficulty to veteran and it still takes my funny landings. Err... usually.
(He who does the most killing gets to go home.)
