This sort of stuff makes me glad that I don't have kids. It seems that kids nowadays are being busted for minor instances that would have gotten their parents a mild rebuke, or otherwise ignored completely when they did such things back when they were students. I remember having food fights at school, where the only people that complained were the teachers and custodians who loudly cussed us out while shoving us out of the cafeteria afterwards. I really don't blame the custodians for being mad because they were the ones who usually had to clean up the mess. On several occasions, we the students had to pitch in and clean up because it was so bad.
I'm just waiting for the day kids will get arrested for manslaughter when they start pwning n00bs on X-Box Live. Hey, clearly, their intents were to terminate the life of Master Chief... a federal offense.
As I said in the other thread, this just makes me livid. Arrested? Arrested?!! I would just LOVE for some school to arrest my child for a flippin food fight, I'd have everyone involved up on charges of false arrest.

The more I hear about how schools react to situations now is just way over the top.
I never stick up for my sons when they are in the wrong, ever, and their teachers and principals know this.
They also know that if my sons were arrested for merely participating in a food fight, I would not be happy and all that implies.
Being in Amish country may have something to do with things not being so bad around here, at least like that.
