Should this be something I do to improve my gameplay with RSV? I'm using a westlink router supplied to me from Verizon DSL and connect it to my xbox360 with the wireless adapter. Sometimes I have a red ping...sometimes two yellow...and then sometimes 3 green.

Port forwarding won't help with your ping times. From the Xbox 360 dashboard, you can run an Xbox Live connection test and it'll tell you if your NAT is "open", "restricted", or "closed". If it's restricted or closed, then you should set up port forwarding. If it's open, you're in great shape.

what mean says is true but it would do you no harm at all to open relevent 360 ports, go to www.portforward.com and follow the instructions, its very easy to do.
