Hi,

after i installed the 1.3 patch ,on almost all servers, my reticule aims and looks like the reticule of a shotty no mather what gun i choose. Does anyone else have this problem?
Or does anyone know a fix for this?

Highstakes mode maybe? Not sure.

If you are playing on the PC. The following servers right now have the High Stakes mode that does NOT list it in the browser:

HIGHSTAKES_SVR1
SQUADGAMES_HS1
SQUADGAMES_HS2

Those are the only dedicated servers with high stakes mode enabled.

The non-dedicated servers WILL show "high stakes" mode in the server browser.

I think that might be part of the confusion.

I am working on tweaking our dedicated server patch so high stakes mode will show a "YES" in the server browser when enabled.

In High Stakes mode, the 'standing still' reticule is much larger, which is supposed to simulate a more realistic accuracy factor for all firearms when firing from the hip (not zoomed).

Is it the best way to do it in a computer game? No.

But considering the joke of an aiming system we had pre-High Stakes, I think they did OK and enough to nudge the dynamic a bit closer to a realistic representation.

Note that if you zoom in with a pistol from cover mode in High Stakes, your ret tightens up like it used to. I haven't tried it with SMGs and assault rifles, but I'd assume it was the same thing.

try uninstalling your h"#¤%os ver. 3.0 hack and your ret will look normal again.. they say they are fixing it(but we can get pb ss of it..even though they have pb clean ss.. its not working all the time).. well i hope they all get arrested and stoned to death with old ps2 mouses

This really reaks donkey balls, so i have to stick with runnin around zooming, cause it feels like i cant hit **** without zooming.

btw, i might be able to supply some ps2 mouses for the stoning matter. I would be more then happy to deliver these for the good cause.

For your first post, I would not suggest trolling other users... It builds a very poor first impression.

I had a 6x scope on my L85A2 Assault Rifle, and when I zoomed in, it acted like a reflex scope. My L85 became super-skinny and I couldn't zoom in. Fixed the problem by reloading the map twice.
