(I'm assuming you mean ˜regulars who are presently absent' and also specifically concentrated on Jeff and Kestryll since you named them. Please note however that Tora only recently returned from a long absence herself, so that may come across in the cards as well.)
Note: I rely heavily on the booklet that came with my deck, which defines each of the cards. I'm writing them out verbatim below, before I do a more characterized interpretation.
Note2: Cards that are "reversed"� (upside-down) are supposed to present a "challenge"� to the questioner, or present some sort of advice, rather than stating a simple fact.
Note3: Cards set out in the "Tree of Life"� pattern: 1 in the middle ˜crossed' by 2 (actually laid sideways underneath 1), 3 above, 4 below, 5 to the left, 6 to the right, 7-10 going up in a row to the right of 1-6.

Note: Reading will be done In Character, for the character of Speedy rather than the forumite Speedyserd, since her question was of an IC nature in regards to Hotel regulars rather than forum regulars.

Your hopes, Speedy, have a very good chance of coming true. Keep hoping, but don't make that stop you from actively seeking (or KI messaging, or writing letters to, etc) Jeff or other missing friends. Ignoring them completely with a vague thought that they'll be back whenever doesn't help motivate them; some people need an extra prod. You've just finished one big adventure in Uppsilon (sorry if I spelled that wrong) and got to see Jeff then; new adventures are always around the corner at the Hotel, don't use them to forget your friends.
You are frustrated from lack of contact with your missing friends, and its making you question their commitment to you, the Hotel, and the other patrons. Be careful, such negative emotions have a tendency to spill over to others around you. Relax and don't make your worries push friends away, or they may start pushing you away. Having been with Jeff recently ought to have given you some "emotional fulfillment"� and peace of mind, so keep that with you and be patient. They'll be around. Stop worrying and give them some time.

Hrm,... interesting decision on replying in character. But thanks, it does help with future storyline planning (whenever I get that down). lol. Thanks Tora.
In the meantime, I only mentioned Jeff and Kestryll by name since they were the only ones who came to mind when I was trying to think of who was absent.

It's a lot easier to give In Character readings because I have most interaction with forumites IC in the Hotel. That's how I know people best, so I can get "accurate" readings by using the knowledge of their characters. If I had to comment on Real people - the writers behind their computer screens around the world - I'd probably end up way off. It's all a matter of perspective, and how well the diviner (me) can make the questioner (you) believe she's really psychic and the cards really are telling the past/present/future.

On a similar note, my Tora character over in the Myst Hangout forum's Age 233 Bar (I know Speedy and Marae know this, but for the rest of you) is a gypsy who often does tarot readings. Marae's character a while back kept asking for readings involving her love life - and after 3 or 4 readings the cards turned up with "stop nagging about The Green Knight/Sir Zarnic and ask a different question!" I swear, they really did! It was hilarious! And scarily accurate....
