Thread: The Two Simplist Solutions To Matchmaking | Forums

  1. #1
    1) Just have Quick Matches for everything, but able to have the option to choose between 1v1, 2v2, 4v4. Quiting the match will result in a one win point for the other faction, minus 150,000CR, and half of your downed units killed.

    2) Put a maximum limit of between 40% and 45% for a faction so each faction almost have a even number of people.

    Big NO and NO.

First it's not at all fair to force newer players to fight against support biased maps, they should be able to learn how to play where they have advantages or at least even footing. That being said the system works fine now, if you want a advantageous fight you will have to wait, if you want to fight uphill then you rarely wait long at all.
The system works fine when new players stick to support friendly maps and experienced ones go to uphill fights, inexperienced players with supports versus experienced players with out supports, nice balance wen people are smart enough to stay to these maps.

And yea lets force people to play a faction they don't want to, that will bring people back to the game...better incentives for playing a less populated faction is the only way to go...incentives are always better then enforcement, wonder why communism flopped?

No. You shoud be able to pick which factions you want to play as and what map you want to fight in. You cna't force people to choose a faction and tell them what map to play on.

Like what b_4721 said, why do you think communism fails? Because the government controls what people say and think. People get tired of it and then they revolt. In a games case, choose not to play it.

Bottom line, you can't tell people what factio

So everybody should be allowed to join one faction just to rig a victory?
Let's not forget that every other ranked game out there forces players to NOT CHOOSE the side they're on, that's how you maintain balance. If not being able to join the biggest faction in the game is gonna scare off players who only want to join the biggest faction then forget about that small fraction of a percentage of players who are afraid to be the underdog.

I didn't care about no incentives when I joined the JSF in the second war, my only incentive to switch factions was the fact that I actually WANT a balanced fight.

I do disagree with the first question, though. why should I be forced to play a map that either a)i don't want to play, or b) I've already played ten times that same day. Plus, killing random downed units for desertion causes a problem if, say, your xbox freezes or you get randomly disconnected.

time and time and time agian, when its not forced balancing, it becomes very unbalanced. for example in cod4 when the game glitches in matchmaking and lets people choose their own team, you end up with one team having 100000 the other 4.

i think that stating thjat this faction is too large, and having them pick another one is a good way to even out the factions.

That will be the day me and many others quit endwar, and probaly any ubisoft game in the future.

Unbalanced faction numbers do only one thing and that is make one side have to wait slight longer then the other, I have played each faction, 2 extensively and there is only small differences in wait times, nothing that is worht ****ing the game up to correct.

People exaggerate problem to no end, this is no different.
