Ok, so you say there are no video's in the books this time, why hope there will be?? This is a complete game now, my mate baught it, fully boxed, legitimate version. You cant expect him to go downloading movies off the net because someone thought it would be a nice addition AFTER the game went on sale, thats just wrong. If there's no movies, there should never be any. Knowing how big movies are do you really expect the millions of UK users with a 56K modem to download them? Hell no, alas this game now looks very much like the latest tomb raider game, half complete, rushed to the shop's and missing the format the others had started. A poor show, and i know there must be hundreds of variables, BUT it's not impossable to do a movie, the original myst did it on windows 3.1 for christ sake!! This is a step backwards and cyan should be embaressed at this failing to keep the format of the myst games. Case closed. Btw, i wont be purchasing this game myself, more and more PC games are being rushed.

actually, it's not a step backwards. Any place you look in Uru looks better than the original Myst game (trust me, go back and look). We are speculating that moving linking panels may someday be added to Uru live. They will never be added to Uru prime.
I don't know what form the textures are stored in but the problem looks exactly like corrupt JPGs I've seen. I'd copy your sav directory, wipe uru and reinstall.
