Thanks for the link rhettman5. I downloaded it over the bought disk version with the v1.03 update and it runs fine. Still can't create matches (i get a message about some kind of "NAT" error) or download/play non ubisoft maps but i think that's because i'm running win 7. Would that be the reason, anyone ? Thanks again for the link, loving the new weapons though haven't been on line to try out the new maps yet.

I have been running FC2 FE for a very long time. The main difference is that, at the beginning in the Weapons Shop at Mikes are 3 extra weapons you can get free. Shotgun, pump shotgun and explosive tipped bolt crossbow. You still have to buy a weapon though, I just got for the 4 diamond makarov pistol.

Another reason for the FE is multi-player, you won't be able to play any Multi-player maps that use the extra weapons if you don't have the Fortunes pack also.
