Folks!

I saw in many thread where people posted their PC setup at home, that some you guys are using such a "stretch" lense you place infront of your monitors to get a bigger picture.
I'd like to know if it is any good quality wise. Does it freak up the colors or does it ruin the screen geometry somehow?

Btw, where can i get such a thing from (I live in Europe) and does it also work for TFT panels?

cheers

Did you ever see this discussion about Frensel lenses over at Sim HQ?
http://www.rcsimulations.co.uk/ is a UK site for sim hardware,
they claim to sell frenels, they will send by mail to Europe also.

Yeah, it's pretty normal for the RC crew to take a few days
Last time I went there, to pick up my TrackIR, the boss took me out back to show me his two-seater cockpit - pretty neat, with a gas-damped, fully-trimmable double yoke stick; also a back-projection setup giving a "screen" about 8'W by 5'H. He was also using TIR and several MasterPilot key-pads, as well as repeater-panels showing aircraft attitude and so on. Mostly based on MS Flight 200x, it was great fun if not very warlike ... food for thought!

Anyhow, it's a family firm ... good folks, when you can catch 'em!

I got a response yesterday and they told me that they are out of stock and gave me the url for the homepage of an American company which sells them too (and much cheaper).
Beside that, a guy at SimHQ uses the same one i ordered yesterday. They are called TV Magnifieres or something like that.
