Thread: Poll: Ability to search for FPV-only games | Forums

I, as many others, dislike the 3rd person. We need a simple patch for GRAW & GRAW 2, which allows to limit the game search for 1st-person-only servers. Thanks.

Your 2nd option should have been, no I play w/ 1st person and don't want a search filter...I like it the way it is.

As far as OTS players that dispise the 1st person view...their opinion on this doesn't hold much weight. This needs to be implemented in a patch and in future Ghost Recons to rejuvenate the 1st person community!

Although, it would allow them to search for only rooms giving free choice and rooms forcing OTS - therfore avoiding 1st person only rooms altogether. But, as I've stated before, due to the inability to find a room forcing that view (limiting its true potential), I'm sure most OTS freaks don't run into a first person server all that often.

P.S. anyone interested in 1st person only games of Blind Siege send me a friend request ASAP! This gold account expires in less than 20 days and if I have a big enough following I may make it my main account.

Sorry if I seem stupid, but err..why?

Most people use TPV, which sucks. Also, if the perspective is not forced, it sucks, ´cos someone will use the TPV anyway.

The only way I like GRAW is in forced 1st person server. The problem is, I don´t even see in the server list, if the host has 1st person forcing on or not. --> Present situation is: the game is useless to me. As is GRAW 1. The key thing is, forced 1st person games are a small minority. On a lucky day, I can find one. Very very lucky day.

The game is great, but TPV ruins it totally, so, I never play it. With a simple patch with a simple text which tells if a server is force FPV or not, BEFORE joining it A) I would play the game B) I would buy GRAW2 C) Graw would appeal to much larger audience, A.k.a. more buyers, money for Ubi.

I was just saying that because there is no good reason for them not to implement a search filter that lets you select "forced camera" with the options of (Default...any), 1st person or OTS.

The way you have the poll set up the majority of graw players would chose B, but this isn't about the majority its about the hidden, lost community of 1st person Ghost Recon fans...the ones that have been neglected due to there being no search filter for 1st person rooms. It has caused most 1st person fans to use OTS in free choice rooms so they're not at a disadvantage.

the poll should've been more of a matter of server filters than view preferance.

much like you can search for gametypes, they should offer one for TPV or FPV games, or both.

since other games don't offer multiple views, it probably never crossed them to consider that option.
but honestly i don't see how it never got raised as an issue for GR2, and then considered for GRAW.

course i never did the GR2 forums, so it may have

OTS wasn't as big a disadvantage on GR2. It was harder to step out from behind a boulder and keep your shots accurate ( no left trigger on GR2 and your accuracy was far less when you moved and fired at the same time) and the maps were much more open and allowed for more flanking. Siege on GR2 mostly had centrally located siege bases if you remember so they were easy to flank which lessened the OTS view. More often than not you got shot in the ***. On GRAW/GRAW2 siege bases stuck in easily defendable corners and single offense spawns make OTS a game killer. Everything just becomes predictable and makes OTS far far more superior than FPV.
