A little more for you as well, It was undergoing restoration whilst I was at RAF St Athans, and again I have sat in it, but it was not run up, the cockpit positions are tiny even for me then and I am as my RAF ID card at the time said 5 foot 5 and 3/4 inches.... LOL

Post restoration at St Athans and when been worked on to bring it up to display standard, it was found the wings had been rebuilt using "POP" rivets at Saints, so the wings were despatched to Trent Aero who were based at the same Airport I was many years later and I popped round to see them being rebuilt again, this time with correct solid rivets...... There was concerns if memory serves me right that the pop rivets were woefully under strength to support the weight of the wing........
Again, I suppose I was just incredibly lucky to be in the right place at the right time, even though I never saw it that way at the time.
