Can I get rid of black bars on 4;3 sdTV? | Forums

I have a regular 27" tv with black bars during GRAW. It's not that bad, but I was wondering if you can be rid of those.

Why would you want to do that? Even if it's possible the only way is to enlarge te picture to fill your screen and you'll lose a big part of the image! So why would you want to do this?

To answer your question with an answer and not another question, not you can't get rid of them. GRAW is set up for widescreen.

I got it to work by going to the dashboard and setting the tv settings to widescreen instead of normal. Problem is that everything was oblong including the reticle. It did seem to help the aiming a little. It didn't swing as much. I put it back to normal.

I have noticed a major FPS decrease on MP when I set the screen to Widescreen. Now I don't know wheter it was a coincidence or if it's definitely because of the widescreen.
