Hello, so since RUSE came out i have been following it since at the time i didn't have a good enough computer.
Now i have the new PC and want to buy this game.

i have read that there are alot of bugs in installing the game and in game as well. are there patches out that fixed those.

also should i buy the DLC right away or wait to see if i'll like the game. another thing that worries me is the amount of people who play. I'm afraid that not alot do.

Best RTS hands down. Buy it. Even with the few bugs this game is amazing.

If you think there is a game out there that is "bug-free" your fooling yourself.

    This game is amazing.

    Buy it.

I have played nearly 200 hours of MP and I very rarely have any trouble finding matches. Also, there are hardly any bugs and none that are game breaking.

Well if you dont live in Europe or have time in Americans morning/midday time to play then i would not buy it.

Like 90% of bad/average players thinking they are good with nolimit admin spam games.

But ye game as concept is superb.

Execution average to say the least with no support since release by devs whatsoever.

    Very disappointing

    Exactly!
However since RUSE is now 1/2 price ($29.99 through Steam) from its release price I'd say its worth your money if you're a RTS fan, as Alcarin said the "concept is superb".

The game unfortunately is unpolished and thus has moments that will utterly frustrate you. The Game lobby looks and acts like something developed in the 90's instead of 2010 for one. High number of player disconnects in the 4v4 and 3v3 maps (especially when the game lobbies are the busiest on the weekends, its the worst), and by that I don't mean players rage quitting on purpose I'm talking about RUSE dumping players from the game due to the "auto Kick" system they so thoughtfully created. Goods news is the 1v1 and 2v2 maps do not have this issue nearly as much.

I personally will not spend the asking price on the DLC until I see some fixes and refinements to RUSE. If/when Steam has them in the Bargain Bin for $.99 then I would consider it but not at full price, I'm thinking for Easter Holiday they may run a sale.

Installation Bugs? Well RUSE installed and runs just fine and I had to install twice so far, as I upgraded my PC to Win7. I think as long as you have a fairly new PC you shouldn't have issues. I think most issues are from players with systems that barely meet the minimum system requirements for the game. I personally never get a game if my system is just meeting the minimum requirements and thus I rarely have issues with top title games installing and running.

Amount of players online... well, like Alcarin said, there is a limited time period in which to find a good crowd of available players. On the weekends, is you're best chance to see a wider time span of players in the Ruse Lobbies. Also when you feel you're skillz are good enough, there are regular 1v1 and 2v2 tournaments on weekends so keep your eyes on the forums or join Steam RUSE Community groups to get involved.

Bottom line, if you're a fan of WWII games, RUSE is the game for you! There's tons of fun to be had but it will be mingled with some moments of frustration with the "execution" within RUSE.
Well... get your boots strapped on! grab you're rifle! and LOTS of ammo and get out there soldier! RUSE is in need of more online warriors.
