I just bought Hellgate London and am loving it. I loved diablo and this is a great continuation, made by the creators of Diablo but under a new company.

    anyone else have this?

this is a firt person shooter with diablo's up grading and treasure finding. kinda complicated but really fun i am still very low level so don't know more than that. also their forum suxs but fun to read, its full of people with no life what so ever who have never kissed the oposite sex that think they are cool because thier character is level 50. but still a fun game with lots of adaptability.

Was just playing it this morning. Giving serious thougt about getting back into this game. its not a groundbreaking title, but its fun in its own way.

For me, burnout is always one step away.

If you peel back the new wrapper, the core of the games mechanics are very much Diablo2. Many of the coolest features of D2 are in HGL, just under a new guise. Many of the classes have a D2 equivlant if you boil the fat away. This isnt a dig at the game, just my down to earth no sugar added assesment.

I think the biggest problem people have with HGL is that the terrain is not as varied as Diablo2. At any rate, personally, ive tried the Guardian, Marskman, and Engineer classes. I like the marksman class as its a little different from normal ranged type character classes in other games, and yet, very much like a bow speced amazon from Diablo2.

Im sort of waiting for the next patch where they're goign to rebalance (IE nerf) the marksman class. it is my favorite, but im looking forward to some of the new adjustments they're making. I have this idea on making a character tantamount to a crew served machine gun, as opposed to the usual running and gunning that most people do. its an experiment. Sort of like a charge bolt speced sorcress in Diablo 2.

Noooooo i havent played these types of games alot.. not at all.

For me, burnout is always one step away.
