Howdy all, Im a n00b (as my name says). I have done 3 patrols. I have earned awards for my crew, but when I click on "Promotions" it says "you must complete a patrol".
I complete my objectives, and return to my base, and "Dock at Kiel".
What am I missing here?
any help would be appreciated. Oh, and btw, I have owned the previous SH games, and some other Sub sims, and I have to say, WOW!!! this game is amazing!!!! Thanks to the Devs for all there hard work, keep it up!

Hello,
Awards and Promotions are two different things.
You may have gotten Awards to give to your crew, but no one was promoted.
I was giving awards once, and I received the same, "You must complete a patrol first."
But I then realized that I had to move my cursor a tiny, tiny bit lower on the award, and then I could give it to a crew member.

ahh, that makes sense, I appreciate it. This game is absolutely amazing, infact, im buying a copy for a friend of mine who has played single missions on my computer. He also loves the game, but cant afford it (well, happy b-day, just a few months early)
