From what i have experienced, is that you must start the game with the icon on the start up screen. When i want to start it with the dvd in it (auto run) and choose start game; it doesn't work.

I'm sorry to hear about all these problems that alot of people seem to be having. Esp 6800 users. What did all these wonderful reviewers and Beta testers use when they ran the product? They nowhere mentioned the wide array of problems that have been mentioned on these forums. I guess next time I'll wait for Gamespot or someones reviews because they will atleast mention any bugs. My order still hasn't been shipped from UBI so I'm already pissed.

It's the result of closed betatest. To few computer configurations tested out.

    Silmar,
I had a strange behaviour in 'X2 The Threat'. If you start the game with the Desktop-Icon it went OK.
If I started it with the menu which pops up after the autorun, it was borderline stable (sometimes Copyprotection kicked in and game went wild)

Maybe not the case here but worth a try?
