Thread: We want Silent Hunter 6 | Forums

  1. #41
    I voted NO.

If i had the option id say HELL NO.

If ubisoft was to make Silent Hunter 6, they would most assuredly use SH5 as a base, when they need to start over from scratch and build a new game from the ground up.

    Think about this:

Silent Hunter 3 was great, but it wasn't perfect. It had a few unresolved issues of its own.

SH4 was built upon SH3. It retained some of the unresolved issues from SH3, while introducing some bugs of its own.

SH5 was built upon SH4. It retains some of the unresolved issues from SH3, AND sh4, while introducing some new bugs of its own.

SH6? Can you imagine the bug ridden clusterF*** this title would be? it would most likey retain unresolved issues from all previous titles and introduce new bugs as well.

No thanks. Time to let it go, or start over from scratch - which ubisoft will never do. It would take too much time and money for a nitch market game. So with that said... I think its time to let it go, rather then go down the path that a SH6 already has laid before it.

For me, burnout is always one step away.

some gr8 points from Ducimus, having bought all three of the SH series he mentioned, I agree an also there's no doubt SH5 could have been a tad better.

But when your bumbing along the bottom like Ubi, there's only one direction to go, UP.

OF COURSE I,LL BUY SH6 - I FAVOR THEM ADDING UP-GRADES TO SH5 PLAYFORM AS LONG AS POSSIBLE. CHARGING 3-4-5 DOLLORS PER UP-GRADE AS THEY COME OUT.

DRM was fine for me too until I reformated. Now I can't play SH5.

DRM is like alot of things. No big deal until it happens to you.

I don't even want to play SH5 any more. Bad taste with DRM. Burns my *** thinking I can't play a game I payed for.

Im all for a SH6, But they should make it that like SH3, you have several different choices of Submarines and that the war continues until 1945. sure the VIIA-C class subs are great, but if you could use the other subs too (like the "Einbaum" it would be fantastic. or perhaps you have a campaign as british submarines like the S-class and U-class

I'm firmly in the UBIsoft can suck my nuts camp.

If a submarine sim is made and released by another company I'm in, if UBI, have anything to do with it I quite simply dont want to know anymore.

I am sickened by the way these arrogant short sighted nincompoops who own and run UBI have treated the user base that basically made them what they are today.
    What comes around etc etc

Agreeing with some of the speakers, I'm not very willing to buy new Ubisoft material after my deception with Cliffs of Dover. But besides from the bugs, SH 5 runs allright and it looks awsome. But, as with windows, I thought Vista was a total deception and I get around quit well with 7, so, although voting no,I am not sure what I would do if SH6 saw the light, it would be tempting indeed..........

Hi All! I voted NO! I don't want to pay for a lie! I played in SH3 and SH4, is waiting for output SH5 and very disappointed in UBISOFT!!!! Listen to what people say: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=166229
    http://www.sukhoi.ru/forum/showthread.php?t=59875
Before starting a new project SH6 need to finish SH5!!!!!! P.S. Ubisoft has released addition to SH5 boat type II and type IX!!! But still not bad it would be for the gameplay to create in the career of the mission:
    1) Weather reports
    2) Mining the raids and the communications of the enemy
    3) delivery of the subversive groups on the territory of the enemy
    4) Rescue operations
    5) Supply (type XIV)
as well As make radio and damage model boats even as in SH4!!! And then we'll vote for SH6!!!
