Hawx had potential to be a solid multiplayer game, but what was lacking was a single, unified community hub for competitive play. The members of my gaming community played, and played well, but the excitement was short-lived playing against disorganized random players. We would like to offer a community hub so that squadrons/clans can register teams, engage in competitive tournaments and challenges, and discuss the game with other enthusiasts. I have started to construct forums, and as the game information becomes more available, I would like to offer commanders a chance to register their clan on the forums. I feel that getting a jump on this early will lead to a better organized competitive community once the game is released.

Why not just open your forums up? Leaders of today might not be leaders of tomorrow... Might as well get as many players in as you can.

I am putting the forum together, and it should be up shortly. I just wanted to make sure that everyone knows that this forum will be open to all platforms. Each platform will have its own area for squadrons. Each squadron will have its own home section in the forums. It is being built with the old InvisionFree forums system, but this will eventually get attached to a simple front webpage. Again, it is all a work in progress, so it isn't quite ready for users to register yet.

I like the idea of this but unfortunately I was one of those players on a random team. I'd love to be part of a squad.

I used to play with a regular group of friends. We weren't any official squad or anything, but likely, if you played against us, we were always on the same team.... That is, unless someone on the other team quits (happened all too often), and one of us gets bumped to the other side for "balance." It'd be great if you could keep the same team no matter what happens. We should have been able to keep 1 v 4 or keep the same team together (4 v whatever). THEN having a squad (or just a group who like to play together) would make more sense. If it's implemented in this new game, then great. If not, then, yeah....
