I'm in the big tower with the large rotating wooden fan thing in it. I can't get down to the point where you can jump through the sails of the fan. I'd really appreciate the help.

Mechanical Pit -Past

Location: The Race to the Throne. Mechanical Pit (Past).
Objective: Find a Way to the Throne Room (Past)

Jump through an upper spinning clock gear to the central structure's top platform.
Fight some exploding Spike beasts.
Jump up to the bar, jump across, walk to the right, drop down, walk out onto a beam, jump across to a lower platform on the central structure.
Go down the ladder and jump through the lower spinning clock gear.

If necessary, slow down time in order to jump through the gear.

Some game players have mentioned a rare bug where you can see the ladders are not properly aligned in the room and that they could not walk across the wooden beam in order to jump through the gear.

Please describe your difficulty in more detail. Thank you. (Note: I am going on a vacation. Hopefully someone else may help while I am away.)

I might have that bug thing. The top platform is really high up and there's no ladder below the lower platform. I assume it can fit through that slot thiny somehow? The ledge coming out towards the wheel on the lower platform is pointing right at the center of the wheel, at the axle.

How many saved games do you have before the current problem?

You may have travelled back through a tower section at a "wrong time".

I'm in the past; everythings up and running.

I mean everything is up and running but I have ladders misplaced. I still need more assistance. Sorry to be such a pain in the neck but I always overight my save files so I dont know the number.

If you write over your saved files, it sounds as if you might only have one saved file.
In all versions of Prince of Persia I have saved as many separate game positions as possible. Prince of Persia severely punishes game players who do not save as many game positions as possible.

You may want to download someone else's saved games and try to play from a saved game close to where you are; otherwise you may need to start a new game.
