first off there is no DM mode for splinter cell. There is however a Versus mode where there should be 2 spies playing against 2 mercenaries to accomlish missions. If you want any respect don't play the DM version of Versus online.

Now on to the ****-op. (co-op).
Be sure to have your windows firewall allow Splintercell Single Player access the internet. if you have a router be sure that the proper ports are open for playing online, check the documentation and the readme file for the correct ports. Turn all your settings to LOW. and finally, Co-op has trouble running for alot of people on the PC so don't be discouraged if you never get it working.

one more thing, do a search on the forum here to fine a thread that lists Hints and Tips on running a stable co-op server. I know there is a thread somewhere by this topic but don't feel like looking it up myself.

    good luck.

No offense to element54 but before trying all of that for the Co-Op, try creating a game.

You said "the patch" make sure that patch is 1.05.

I'm behind a router and have never had a problem create a game and getting others to join. Joining a game is a hit or miss.
Even the few times I put my box in the router's DMZ (meaning all of the ports are open to that one machine) joining Co-Op games is hit or miss.
