Hi fellow gamers, can sombody PLEASE PLEASE help. I am at the last part of cooler after flooding the mutagen room, and have tried every concievable method to get past the Fat boy and the 2 trigen... to no avail. I have the M4, sniper rifle,P90 and grenade/machine gun. I have just recently gone "-DEVMODE" and am still having trouble with fly mode getting past him. I dont like using cheats but am desperate, also when in fly mode and I go a slight bit too far I end up in some 1/2 world, purgatory type place and have difficulty getting back to the rooms where my nightmare is being played out. It really is frustrating and is starting to take the edge of what, in my opinion is a fantastic game. Also, once through this how do you revert back to standard playing mode, presumably by removing "-DEVMODE" ? WOULD THAT BE RIGHT. Any help I could get would be much appreciated, kind regards to all from New Zealand.

A long time ago someone suggested to just run around the fatboy. It works with little or no damage. Then just run to the door and take out the monkey table quick (might want to crouch down for better aim). Then run alittle in and take out the second monkey. Then in and out of range from the fatboy.

Use short bursts with the P90 or the AG36 and have the P90 in your hand when you run around the Fatboy (you'll run faster).

Check the singleplayer tips and tactics sticky (post at the top of the forum) for more ways around. And take devmode off

Thanks for that Pakmanis, to take devmode off, do i just simply delete from the target bar from wence i put it. Your help really is appreciated, I'll give it a crack and get back.

sry cant help with the dev mode thing but as for the fatboy...
try a head shot with sniper rifle as he comes around the corner and then pump his head full of bullets from the m4. worked for me (but i had the shotgun insteag of m4). goodluck!

I beleive you can just go to the farcry.exe in the ubi folder and make a new "shortcut". That way you'll have both regular and devmode to choose from.

What difficulty level are you playing on?

Thanks to all for your help, Dont laugh, I'm playing on 'easy', can you believe that!. But I get totally engrossed in it and find it fascinating, its just when you get really stuck I find it hard and lose all hope , but onwards and upwards.

themmington - Yeah just remove -devmode from target and the shortcut will revert to normal.
(though i'd create another as suggested by pakmanis , for multiplayer too )

As for that fatboy - don't know if you have slayed him yet.. but you could try flashbang grenades if you have any, he really gets confused by them, then you can shoot him in the face and he should go down.

Also, if you shoot him in the chest repeatedly (green circle) he should do a 'roar' kind of thing which buys you some time (5 secs?)

FarCry is a difficult game, easy setting or not , glad you're having fun with it.

Hi Temmington.We have a few things in common.I too am a lady gamer although I am in UK...I too played FC on easy(nothing to be ashamed of!!)...and I too found that part in Cooler particularly stressful,but with a few gos I eventually conquered it.I didnt know the trick of running right past the fatboy though!!(Oh darn it,I spelt your username wrong...many apologies themmington!!)Best of luck to you.Onwards and upwards!!!
