Vista 64 bit
q6600
4gb Ram
8800gt
All I get is a black screen (windowed,can here sound).
On first install AVG picked up what it thought was a trojan "Appdata\Local\Temp\mtka_tmp\matroschka_launcher.e xe" But after shutting down AVG, uninstalling then reinstalling twice it still has the same problem. However I have tried to navigate to the above directory and find the file that AVG picked up and there is no matroschka_launcher.exe.
Anyone got any ideas?

Got the new driver for that video card? Try download it and isntall again.

I should have mentioned.. using 180.42 nvidia driver..

Sounds like you might need to uninstall. and then use a windows installer cleaner to clean the instance of where fc2 was installed and then try again.

its a file that has to do with securom, google the error.

try to switch off your tabletoutput in the services of windows

Thats what caused bioshock not to work, might be worth trying out.

i have the same problem.
Game has started but shows a black windowed screen.
Not sure what to do and ubisoft arent known for their great pc game support.

Rolled back Nvidia drivers to 178.24... all good now.

takes the **** when nvidia driver specifically designed for farcry 2 dont work with the game hehe

I think ATI and nVidia both have a patch release for FC2.
