Well, it seems most other people were coming up with their own version of this type of list, so I thought I'd throw my hat in.
1. Friends list issue. However, I understand this isn't a Ghost Recon 2 issue, per se. IMO, ghost recon 2-related or not, the entire lobby system is an absolute disaster. There's nothing worse than joining a game that says "set up" thinking you're getting in on the ground floor then by the time you join up you find the game just started and you have to go back and find a whole new game or wait.
2. The guns, for the most part, are all virtually identical save for their looks, i.e. sound, hit power, clip size, etc. Really, really disappointing, especially considering GR did such a good job of accurately representing the weapons.
3. It's extremely annoying that during online play you can't tell who is talking. There is nothing worse than someone saying "I'm getting killed overhere" then having six people simultaneously say "over where? who said that?"
4. When playing split-screen, if one player looks at the map, it takes up the whole screen, thus screwing the other player. Ultra-annoying.
5. I understand that the Xbox isn't a PC and there are limits to what it can do, but the physics of what happens to the characters when they're hit is absolutely horrible. I talk about this further below, but what happened to your character representing his injuries, as in GR, i.e. dragging an injured leg, difficulty aiming when injured, etc.? Also, I can understand wanting to have no blood in the game, but to not even give gamers the option is an insult and is really a big problem. It's not just an "I love blood and guts" thing for me, because there's no blood in this game, it's virtually impossible to tell when you've hit someone from a distance.
5. Perhaps my biggest problem with this game, a game that even the developers must admit is flaw-ridden, is the collision/hit detection system. It is completely ridiculous that you can shoot someone dead in his chest but he keeps running like nothing happend, then you have to shoot him five more times before he dies. This is the absolute worst thing about this game.
In sum, I understand that RSE sold-out to the cartoon gamers to an extent because they wanted to make more money and reach more of the market. I don't begrudge them that. What I do have a problem with is releasing a game with such obvious difficiencies. It especially irritates me because in all their pre-release press, RSE went to great lengths to say "GR 1 gamers will not be disappointed." I'm a GR 1 gamer, and color me disappointed. I actually enjoy the game for the most part and don't have as big a problem with the move away from the tactical aspects of the original, I do however have major problems with whoring out a game that is so full of flaws to a loyal gaming communtiy. Here's hoping RSE doesn't pull a SOCOM and leave gamers hanging in the wind for a year without a fix.

Firstly; there is already a thread for technical problems started by BulletTooth which contains most of this.
Second: the weaponry, i.e. assault rifles do handle differently, albeit slightly, but there are subtle differences. For example:
G36: the scope is rather poor when compared to the M16.
As for stopping power, they're all using 5.56 rounds so they will all have very similar effects. And since it's based on current & NEAR future technology used by the US Special Forces, why would they use heavy 7.62 based battle rifles?
Fourth: This happened in GR & GR:IT in split screen anyway...
As for the wound animation...this was eliminated in the download for GR and the 1.3 patch on PC too. Also, your reticule takes slightly longer to centre when wounded...
And as for telling if you hit a target from a distance...I can, as can all my clan, and many other gamers in fact. Ok, having to shoot targets several times to kill them is a pain in the ****, but the majority, say...90% of the time, a good shot to the face will drop an enemy no probs...
Ah well...apart from some online problems which will be dealt with, myself and all my xbox friends are happy with GR2. Its not to everyones tastes, but then again RSE never said it would be.
It's not Ghost Recon. It's Ghost Recon 2. A hybrid of RSE's developments and hardwork.
As people on these here forums have said before: "If you don't like it, don't play it..."
Ciao Banana!
