BLACK SCREEN YET GAME STILL WORKS? | Forums

Hey guys,

I am running the game and all menus work okay but once i load into a game everything is black. I can see my reticule, i can see bullet impacts and hear all sounds except i can only see black.

does anybody know whats up? Maybe a shader issue?

I have same problem, but even worse, the game is black and slowmotion (barely could quit).

I have a GeForce FX 5600XT. Does it mean I can't play this game on my PC?

What's weird is that I have an Fx900 card which I know isn't supported yet when I brought up the sight on the gun the transition graphic showed the world around for the briefest of seconds..

Don't you read the minimum requirements before buying? If you do then you will see that the 5000 series from nVidia isn't supported. The 6000 series is minimum.

TheComposer, i suggest you read through the GRAW section of www.Tweakguides.com or alternativly ceck out the very top post of these forums, the black screen effect is covered there.

something to do with the refresh rate being set too high, maybe thats it? hope you find an answer.

Nvidia 5xxx series is NOT supported!

If this is your GPU, then you will need a hardware upgrade to even play the game !

Game now also REQUIRES Texel Shader 3.0 support!

Also, Minimum Specs will barely run the game, and give only LOW settings at best.

Recommended Specs will deliver only MEDIUM at best. Keep this in mind when purchasing hardware upgrades and the game.

Good rule of thumb for buying GRAW and performance expectations:

Recommended Specs need to be doubled, and Minimum Specs should be what the Recommend Specs are.

You guys have got to read the box first, to make sure you have compatabile hardware.

Don't forget your GPU also needs TexelShader 3.0 Tech.
