There's another helo vid where they clip a hangar (yes those large very visible buildings littering airfields) with the main rotor in broad daylight. Everyone survived luckily, I think there was a teenage kid in the left seat if I recall.

    EDIT:

    Found it:

In the first video with the Swedish helo it looks like someone rides a bike across the street right before the ship goes down. I hope no one was struck by shrapnel when it hit.

The other pilots didn't show much common sense either.

well, if you cant fly play flight sims and die in there instead of real life.

I live in Sweden. This was quite big news when it happened. Everyone was ok, but an old guy in the helicopter was injured.

Why it happened: I am pretty sure the pilot wasn't authorized to fly a heilcopter of this type.

Edit: I just checked the story - The 100 year old passenger who was going on the trip as a birthday present died in hospital after the accident, though his injuries were not 'necessarily tied to the incident'.

The Swedish pilot didn't have permission to fly it. The Lituanian owned helicopter wasn't authorized to be used for carrying passengers, nor for use in a built up area!!

The air authority accident report found that a blocked fuel line (by dirt) caused the motors to run at half their normal capacity and this led to the accident.

The pilot was charged - I don't know the outcome.
