    G'day, chaps/chapesses.

The vast majority of you will not have the slightest idea of who I am. Thats OK. I forgive you.

Those of you who were members of the Original Ghost Recon General Discussion board (Yes! Even before Ghost Recon-Off Topic!) - I return to check if you're all still alive or whether The Shootist really made good on his promise to hunt you all down and feed you to pigs.

I've moved away from gaming somewhat. I bought a squiffy new graphics card to play RvS on, but the thirst never took hold of me the way the original GR did. I don't have a single game installed on this machine. No time! No more twist!
Saying that, I do look back fondly on my time here and remember the mammoth debates that flied back and forth as well as the flagrant spamming that filled the pages with oh-so-much mirth.
I'm currently a moderator on a self defence forum and thats chewing up a lot of my time online. I got a spare moment and thought I'd drop by to say hello.

Hi, good to see you again.

things slowed down with the invasion of Iraq, as most people here can't seem to find that humor gene anymore.

    But otherwise, life goes on.

Slacky me mate, good to see you back!

Ah yes, the old GR forum certainly brings back a few fond memories. I also remember that you are a very talented writer.

Post a few short stories dammit!

    But I miss uber-panda!

I have been away in France for 3 weeks with my brother and his family, but I was stuck inside with a very nasty cold of some description for almost all of it- ironic seeing as it was so hot and sunny outside!

I heard, in French of course, of the flooding across parts Switzerland, Austria and Southern Bavaria- I was of course very worried about my house, friends and my beloved uncle and his lovely car, but apparently where I lived suffered no worse than heavy rain creating "streaming" on the road surfaces.

I've changed a bit since then, fellas. Got rid of the hair and bought a big knife. As you can see...

The muse has not been with me lately, chap. Good to see that you're still alive and well. You still living in the Netherlands or did your itchy feet get the better of you?

I am glad you are still with us my young friend- Hmm-not so young anymore..
Hope you are well and life is treating you, well at least occasionally.
Thor told me you had made a return and i wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that i also and still kicking around.
Still some good folks here, but alas, the old days are gone forever. I fear...

I am actually on the verge of getting back in my hiking boots (which is a metaphor for a comfy plane) and I'll be heading for South America shortly as the kick off for an other world-tour. I sold the apartment and quit my job (oh, how sweet that was). I should be off in the first weeks of October.

See if you can get back in touch with your muse, mate and treat her well. You are one talented writer.
