Thread: Determining Opponent's Battalion | Forums

According to the End War strategy guide, when you are in the preparation screen before a battle, you are supposedly able to see what battalion your opponent is using. How is this done? So far I haven't been able to see this. Or perhaps the guide is wrong?

    Most likely.

There is no real strategic value for knowing the opponents battalion at the start of a game.

I do believe there is strategic value in knowing the enemy battalion. If they are an armored battalion, then I will deploy a few gunships. Likewise, if they are an Airborne battalion, I would send out a few extra transports.

The only thing it's going to do is show you how many units he can field...Sure that MAY help, but once you get into a game they might use a strategy that caters to their weakness.

Doubtful. Most players are not thinking that far ahead, and particularly right now are looking to upgrade their battalions strength. There is huge value in knowing what they are aiming for, particularly right now.

Knowing their battalion before hand is a huge advantage, until you have access to UAV at least.

I like the Idea of knowing my potentail enemy, It allows me to pick my battles. No WAY Im going up against an airborn battalion, while I'm going to attack techinicle battalions whenever possible (Why would you choose a technicaal battalion? 1 transport and 4 engineers? How are you going to face an airborn battalion?).

every battalion has the same limits for deployment 2 arty 6 inf 1 cv, a tech batt can still deploy as many trans as he wants just only one will stay in his persistent batt roster.all the trans past his first one will all be recruit lvl but do get any recruit lvl upgrades they might have.
