As far as your other questions...

We fly mostly Allied planes, but have been known to mess around with the Axis planes as well. Personally I'm really looking forward to the Bf110 when it's flyable.

We are infact very newbie friendly. Most of us are basically kids at heart anyway, so someone being new to flying, or new to IL-2/FB is not an issue.
