You have to give us more details please other than just it was really cool.

Tell us what you saw, animations, type of units, interesting gameplay features, destructibility, etc

OK, you beat me to it, after reading jetejector's post I did some searching, found the video interview you posted and also found this link where you can download/view the teaser trailer.

Unfortunately it's all CGI, but I'm supposing it is showing the units that are/will (or should be) in the game.

End of the trailer the general deploys what in the military has been called, "rods from god" basically orbitally launched kinetic energy penetrators that would strike with the impact of a nuke without the radiation.

Anyway, here's the link for the trailer:

And if you're interested in the rods from god, here's this link:

ign has the trailers out in the open as well...

i would have preferred to see some in-game action which showcased the actual camera view (s) you would have during the game, as well as the user interface...

if anything, this game warrants a rental as well as a couple hours of online play, if you do not plan on buying it...

Agreed, they should have given us a mix.

Well more to come I'm sure. The video interview is somewhat helpful explaing basically that this will be an MMO-rts.

My fear is that means having to pay to get online. Never was into MMO's for that reason, but this game may sway me. Still I think they need to give a lot of content and a good business case to ask us to shelve even more money into their wallets.

Most MMO titles that I know of that charge players, are the ones where the developers are constantly pumping out new things such as weapons, units, vehicles, etc. Planetside for instance, has monthly updates and what not, that include bug fixes, weapons, etc. Sony's crew is constantly working on that game as it is a long-term, ongoing project that people get paid for.

This game will more than likely NOT fit that description. It may have a patch or two, but I would not look forward to mandatory payments. New items, weapons, and so forth will probably be released as optional downloadable content materials.

If they did charge a monthly fee....then you could expect close developer relationships with the overall playerbase, along with periodical upgrades and additions to the game, all covered under the monthly payments.

One reason why I do think they'll go the usual MMO route of charging is in the EGM article it said that when one campaign ends, the Endwar developers initiate a new one, tweaking a few variables to help push the story along. "We can edit the start and victory conditions,"says de Plater.

Sounds like they'd have to be pretty watchful of the battles not to mention in one of the previews I listed, the Shacknews preview says they will keep track of "worldwide strategic data" and "At the end of each day, control of each military front is tabulated based on the performance of the gamers who played online games set in those fronts."
