Does anyone else think it would be cool that in a crash dive you could send all available men running toward the torpedo room to help assist in the dive?

Also, I love this game, don't get me wrong, anyone else find the map included with the game a little lacking? In AOTD they had a much nicer map, I'm using that one to locate my grid coordinates faster. I also miss the "ALARM!!!!!" followed by the ringing bells and frantic german shouting of the AOTD crash dives. And one final thing, anyone else find the messages you can send to BdU a little lacking? You had many more options in AOTD, like requesting new patrol orders once you got to your area and patrolled it.

I might be nitpicking a bit too much, and this is a **** fine game, just some wishful thinking and nastalgic memories from my AOTD days.

That's an interesting idea with the crew running - don't expect to see it visually though. Not until SH4 will we see crew moving through the sub!

Yes, the paper map is a little cramped - I can't really see which grid I'm meant to go to in the North Sea. But I'm glad it's there, because it shows the convoys and air coverage adequately.

The CE does shout 'Alaaarrrmmmm!!!' to order a crash dive, and the bell does ring! Are you pressing 'C' or ordering the CE to crash-dive from his interface, or are you just diving normally?

And yes, the BdU is fairly hopeless. Hopefully, it will be extended when the wolfpacks are added!

When I order a crash dive, I hear a loud "ALAARM!" and some loud ringing bells.

I often wonder if it's so loud that a distant merchant I'm trying to sneak up on can hear it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I could have sworn I read somewhere that there were features that would keep people from getting unrealistically high tonnage scores while on war patrols. Looking through this forum, it seems there is more that one person that has gotten 60k+ on a single patrol. That just doesn't seem right does it?

oh, and oil slicks would be a cool touch also, especially with tankers.
