Thread: E.A. attempts Ubi take over | Forums

  1. #1
For people that dont know it yet, Electronic Arts, popular producer of buggy main-stream **** games, is very near to buy Ubi Soft.

Same thing happened to Westwood Studios some time ago.
The direct consequence was the instant reduction of the Command&Conquer franchise to pure ****.
The final consequence was the total destruction of Westwood Studios.

Now... can you even imagine a Heroes game produced under EA influence without having terror creeps?

    It would happen:

-Crappiest (if present) A.I. (see Battle For Middle Earth, Generals, and Red Alert 2 as example)

-Uber heavy graphic engine with lots of whstles and bells

    -Ridicoluos child like gameplay

    -Newbie approach to everything

-Turning of the M&M licence to mainstream ****

-Huge inbalances and lack of support

So...whats the Fabrice position on this possible take-over?

    I awfully scared...
We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far...

Wasn't Red Alert 2 produced by Westwood Studios?
I'm not too happy about mainstream in general, but i think that Command & Conquer: Generals is a good game.

    - Sorry if this is too

Or... if they announce that there will be linux version of HOMMV... People are going to buy their stock in masses and spam everywhere to get someone to help UBI (and EA will be DDoS:ed from the web quite permanently (there are criminals among all people, and these ones have some heavy heavy weaponry, i know i have been a victim))
