One of the boys paused a moment from eating. "Toz kept saying that name, Speedy,"
The two women looked at him.
"What's your name?" asked Tir.
"Adrian,"
"Adrian, you know my brother?"
"Is he a giant?"
Tir and Toria looked at each other again. "He is almost 2 meters tall..." Tir explained.
"Then he is a giant! We saw him. He mysteriously appeared in the castle at one point, saying he was a page. We knew he was different, because he was so tall and he had these weird travel items with him," Adrian explained.
"Such as what?" asked Toria, deciding to keep it slow.
"For one thing, the book that had a moving picture and brought us here!" said the other boy.
"Wow, this drink is good!" chimed Adrian.
"What's your name?" asked Tir.
"Grimaud,"
"Ok, so Toz brought with him a linking book... and we know he had his KI with him," Tir rationalized.
"KI? Linking book?" asked Grimaud.
"Grimaud, try some of this drink! It's bubbly!" said Adrian.
"Sorry. A linking book is a method of travel for us while a KI is a communication device," said Tir.
"Ah, I see," said Grimaud, who then finally tried the root beer. "Wow! This is sweet!"
"It's called root beer..." said Toria.
"This is good. Can we have some more?" asked Adrian, who had finished his mug.
"Sure. So you know Toz?" asked Tir.
"Aye. We just left him with a wizard named Jeff. Did you know him?" asked Adrian.
"Yes, we do! He's Speedy's boyfriend," Toria explained.
"Who is this Speedy? Someone said she is a bird. Who would love a bird?" asked Grimaud.
"Well, she's a magical bird," Toria began, "because she can be a bird and a woman at different times,"
"Is she pretty?" asked Grimaud.
"Yes,"
"Then maybe she's that visiting princess that came back with Prince Silas,"
Toria and Tir went
"PRINCE Silas?"
The pages nodded. "Yep, the only son of the Korpi King, Lauri, may he rest well in heaven," said Adrian.
"Did he die?" asked Tir.
Adrian nodded. "Aye, very recent too from the rumors. So Prince Silas is next in line for the kingdom of Uppsalan,"
Toria and Tir looked at each other. There WAS more to the artist they had known as Silas than what met the eye.
