    I really like the idea of the data hack brings some thing new to the game and makes you work to get the upper hand over the enemy team.

    Wouldn't it be better to make it so the player didn't know he was hacked. That way a smart team could set up a killer ambush. Maybe even leading to both teams hacking each other without knowing about it.

    To hack someone like this maybe the attacking player needs to be within 5 metres of the enemy player for 15 seconds while using a hacking device.

    Just an idea.

    I was thinking the same thing Paladin its sort of pointless making all the effort to hack a player if the enemy team knows you done it as they will just sit and wait it out in a defensive position.

    @All

    FFS!!!

    They just talked about a feature to INCENTIVIZE and ENCOURAGE team work...and prevent lone wolf mentality....and y'all immediately jumped onto the negatives.
    Sure there will be *******s in the game running around getting tased but is that the mechanics/designers fault??
    I mean if that's the case and devs develop games JUST AROUND ***HOLES then we will have a MP version of Pac-man. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
    Thank you! The second I read that other post I thought, really? You want a tactical shooter that promotes lonewolfing and anything else that allows the morons on my team to win a match? Whatever happened to using teamwork and the better team actually winning? Of all people Mean, I expected you to actually agree that teamwork is better for a game like this.

    Why not just suggest friendly fire be turned off while you're at it? Heck, why not just disable team games in general and stick soley to free for all. What the heck happened to us here? It's no wonder Ubi doesn't listen to this community, we change our opinions so often you can't really tell what we want.

    If it plays out anything like the CoD:Black Ops Blackbird killstreak, then the enemy team is in for one heck of a time. I don't think I've ever survived while one of those things were up in Black Ops.

    My suggestion was that they need to put the same kind of safeguards around hacking as most games do around teamkilling. If you keep running out and getting hacked, you're hurting your team. And you're doing it in a way that's much worse than just running out and getting killed because you're also getting other people killed through no fault of their own. Having one or two new players on the team becomes a much bigger problem as a result. And there's basically nothing you can do about it other than kicking the guy out of the room.

    It's also something that could be easily abused by a shill who switches to the other team just to help his buddies out. If it's not reined in somehow, then people will use it to cheat or ruin the experience of others much like they do with any other feature that allows them to - i.e. teamkilling, spawn killing, glitches, turbo buttons, lag switches, and so on.

    Personally I would prefer to play without radar/intel at all - I find it distracting and immersion-killing. I want to watch what's going on around me, not the mini-map in the corner or the red boxes that pop up whenever somebody throws an "intel grenade". And I want people to have to find me on their own, not rely on the game to do it for them. That's the main reason that I play hardcore mode in BFBC2 instead of regular mode. And that was one of the two reasons I couldn't get into R6 Vegas (corner/cover camping being the other).

    I actually really like this idea. It could make for tense moments when a team finds out that one of their members was hacked and now they have to set up defense positions to counter-attack the hack.

    @MeanMF

    A good team is no longer a good team if it can be brought down by one guy. If he is running to the enemy team then follow him to get easy kills. If that doesn't work then you and your team must now consider him an enemy and plan accordingly by setting up a team position to counter the oncoming advancement.

    In defense of MeanMF I can actually see what he's talking about happening frequently in regular games. Lone wolves running around and screwing the team in the process whether it's intentional or not. Chances are the player will be one amongst a sea of others that either don't have mics or don't communicate period so you can't be like "Hey moron! Don't go over there!" and get a response. In theory the system can work extremely well BUT in practice? Well, we'll find out once this game hits with the beta. I'm willing to bet that the optical camo and the cover system are what will really bring this game down.

    I also agree with MeanMF that I personally despise the AR nonsense telling me where the enemy is. I'd much prefer not having anything. I'd rather use my sense and teamwork to win instead of gadgets and wondering if that noob that just got on my team is going to screw us.

    Again, not saying one way or the other it's just...I don't know. It seems it could go either way.

    If abusing a game mechanic allows for one guy to ruin or greatly unbalance the game for everybody else, then I'm suggesting that they should put safeguards around it to stop that abuse. This is not a new concept - many games kick you out of the room or allow a "vote to kick" if you teamkill a few times. I'm really not sure why anybody thinks that this is a bad idea?

    I know most people don't play it on here (probably) but Halo Reachs boot/team kill system is horrible. It seriously needs work and I think some people could be afraid of similar systems.

    I think we scrap Means idea entirely and bring back something called the host
