Thread: DRM? | Forums

Is End War PC going to have DRM on it or is it going to be like PoP? I have not seen an answer to this question yet and would like one.

And they would be wise not to disclose it since it's just a convenient excuse for bored trouble makers to rally together for a fruitless and obnoxious cause.

Thats your opinion and not everyones thank god. It does make a Difference and it is not fruitless or obnoxious. It is very simple I and many others don't buy DRM infected games we don't want that crap on our PC's

So the question is still not answered...

Oh shut up. Don't bring that garbage to EndWar. I've seen enough of that crap over at Red Alert 3. You people are sick in the head. If you can't talk about the game itself then take it somewhere else. There's plenty of DRM forums out there for you to associate with people just like you. All I care about is playing the game, not some stupid DRM ethical debate.

(moderators, excuse my rudeness but these people irritate the hell out of me)

It is not a pointless topic. Did you know that Ubi was sued for using a particularly harsh form of DRM? Did you know that it broke some peoples hardware? Did you know that Stardock releases games without DRM and yet they sell well compared to those who use DRM?

It is something that you might want to educate yourself about.

i really like their new business model. Releasing on the console first than a pc release later with no drm. Tumbs up

If you were not told on the box or before installation that UBI was placing an undeletable folder into your registry. That is against the law (well, U.S. law). To be more precise, installation of a spyware, adware, or malware (SecuRom is Malware) into a consumer's PC without the beforementioned and/or approval of the malware by the owner of that PC is illegal in 39 states of the United States.

So back to the Question does this have DRM on it or not? I am leaning to yes it does have DRM since it has not been answered in a timely manor...
