i just reformatted, and now all the sudden the autoplay feature of the fb cd is not working. i get no autoplay when i just enter the cd, when i double click the cd in "my computer"; it doesn't even work when i open up the cd and double click the autorun exe. since i can't find a setup file to run, i don't know how to install fb. it would be great if i could fix whatever was messing up the autoplay bug, but i'll settle for a work-around just so i can get my fb fix.

open my computer and right click on your CD drive and click property's, go to the autoplay tab to change autoplay features.

if you manually attempted to execute the autorun.exe file and it didn't work, then there may be something else besides autorun that's not working. Since you reformatted, did you re-install the drivers for your drive? (I know windows XP usually will install the driver automatically, but it doesn't always work)

Also, if it's a CDRW drive, FB has some known issues.

FYI:

In CD ROM's you will find a text file in the first directory. It will be named autorun.inf and it can be opened w/ notepad. all this file contains is instructions for autorun features to find and open the files that appear when you put a CD in an autorun drive. If autorun doesn't work or turned off, you may open this file for information on what to open manually. FB's disk is pretty easy, but some CD ROM's hide their .exe files and it's helpfully to know about autorun.inf
