The Shokaku was sent back to Japan for repairs after the Coral Sea battle, and in the mission,"Hunt For Wounded Bear," an American sub is sent out to locate and sink her, before she enters friendly waters. Anyone have any luck with this mission? Thanks....

Yes, I intercepted and sunk her shortly after she entered the Celebes Sea. She was following the path shown on the map that came with the game and was traveling around 9K Per Hour. My attack was up between Borneo and Celebes and I submerged above the S in the word Sea and waited for her to arrive. She had 3 escorts.

I have tried several times to intercept at that location and various other points around that area.. I have waited and waited.. she never shows..
in the map is she heading towards the star or away from it.

Take position at 123°30'E 6°00'N by 1am on July 12 1942.
Shokaku arrives escorted by 3 destroyers around 2:40am.

I found a task force with two Shokaku-class carriers. I was able to hit one with six fish on 12 June 42 at 21:00 at 6° 18' N by 125° 7` East. The task force is sailing north into the gulf heading for the port on the north shore. They are escorted by several DDs and at least one cruiser (saw it dead ahead when I first used the periscope).
