New York Assembly passes new anti-gaming law
Obviously, this law will probably be struck down as unconstitutional, just like similar laws have been. But what kind of mentality is this? If I'm a clerk in a retail store, I can sell an R-rated movie to a minor without any legal penalty whatsoever (although I could face penalties from my employer) - yet if that same kid buys a copy of Halo3, suddenly I'm doing hard time? The newly-passed bill will make it a felony to sell M-rated videogames to minors. Transgression of this law could result in 1-4 years of jail-time.
