Seems they are laying off their entire flight sim studio.

    Ouch.

Personally speaking, the P-40 could contend on an equal footing with all the types of Messerschmitts, almost to the end of 1943.

Although I'm not one that goes in for General aviation sims, it's a pitty. It'll be quite a blow to flight sim community.

I would have thought with the economic down turn and all and less cash in the average persons pockets, flight sims like MS would become more popular with GA pilots that will be able to fly less often.

My Bro' an active private pilot and he often uses MS Flight Sim to go over his flights.

I guess the Mod community will keep up the good work until MS works out what it is doing.

Maybe Oleg should get a few people working on a Piper Cub and a Cessna Bird Dog. By the time SOW comes out there might be a LOT of sim pilots looking for an alternative to the M$ sims!

    Quite a pity.

Not for the programme itself, but for it's addon-potential.

Flying the heavies is quite some fun.

If the most lucrative flight sim line made by the biggest software company in the world gets axed, this bodes ill for the other flight sims from smaller companies---very ill. The Crash hits home.

Don't be absurd Bearcat, Microsoft? Licensing fees? Never

All in all it's bad news. This corner of the market has become small enough as it is.. Don't want to see it get even smaller.

But such is life as it goes.. The gaming market has started to revolve around 1 shot wonder FPS's rather than producing quality products with high replay value.
