My Asus a7xn8x-x died. Got a replacement delivered today. I have the whole "Unplug this, unscrew that, screw that in, plug this in" bit down.

I need serious help beyond that. i have little idea what i need to do to or with the bios.
I will be installing an ahtlon 2700 & 2gb of pc3200. the vid card is an ati 9600pro or xt.

since i am using the same model board, will i need to reload all my drivers?

I am fortunate enough to have my windows xp oem disc, and can burn drivers on the other machine. but my pc is stone dead so i can't pre load the d drive.
would a usb port be usable as an f drive for boot purposes?

I am doing some online research, but i trust the knowledge base here. the overlap helps.

i can be taught.
i need to get this done quickly because the clock is ticking on the warranty & I am in serious il2 withdrawl.

any help would be graciously accepted.
