I posted this in Tech Advice but nobody answed back so:

CPU speed
sound card
graphics card
DX version
driver info

that kind of stuff

hmmm im surprised it doesnt work, sometimes things such as AA or AF can mess up games if turned on in the graphics options in windows. although i dont thats the prob cuz i have only a lil better system than yours and Riven runs good for me.

What quicktime you using also btw?

Download the latest direct X from windows (9.something), and make sure your drivers are Adaptec, if your CD rom is rewritable, then do Roxio-Adaptec, and you should be able to solve the problem.

URU cd is a closed cd and re-writable cd rom drives are incapable of reading them. There fore not able to understand it

URU is capable of working within the smallest of parameters, so even the slowest machine would run it. It sounds like a cofiguration problem to me.

p.s,
Roxio do also take into consiseration DVD drives also.
